SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am particularly interested in knowing how much the dysregulations in the synaptic systems in the nervous system produce an impact on its functional capacity and how having a good night's sleep can influence these functions. Up to what level can using drugs manipulate synaptic functions and produce either a favourable effect, perhaps treating dementia to a certain level, or a derogatory one?
