SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Can the human brain be simulated by a computer? Is that simulation conscious? What is consciousness? How does our mind make decisions? I am interested in working somewhere on the edge between the fields of neuroscience, artificial intelligence and philosophy to approach the mind boggling questions stated above.
