SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in the basis of complex brain functions such as emotion, social behaviors, and personality. Theories elucidating these functions from various perspectives captivate me. Beyond that, I am also attracted by dysfunctions in neural system, which may lead to mental illness and torment patients both physically and mentally. Researches on finding out what is wrong with these diseased brains and the applicability of various treatments are appealing to me.
