SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

The brain is like an unsolved mystery. Its working at the conscious and subconscious level and its ability to retain information by formation of numerous complex neuronal pathways has always intrigued me. My scientific areas of interest range from studying about the science of cognition to behavioral studies. I want to learn about the effect that our lifestyle and the changing environment has on our nervous system and how in turn they influence neuronal aging and degeneration. I am also interested in finding ways to improve efficiency of the brain as well as delay neuronal aging and neuronal loss seen especially in cases on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
