SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in the neural and molecular mechanisms underlying human cognition and behaviour. In this regard, synaptic plasticity, especially its implications in cognition (e.g. learning, memory, language), attracts my interest to a great extent. Apart from that I am also interested in the evolution of human cognition, behaviour and language. In the long term, my aim is to explain the concepts of cognitive and/or behavioural sciences in terms of molecular biology (at least contribute to that as much as possible).
