International Honorary Member, American Academy of Arts and Sciences

In April 2025, Professor Dr. Günther was made an International Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. The induction ceremony was held in Boston in October of the same year.

Membership in The Academy is known as one of the highest honors there is for contributions to arts or sciences. Earlier international honorary members include Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Gabriel García Márquez and Nelson Mandela.
