SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by the role of epigenetics in neuroscience. Specifically, I am keen to study the chromatin landscape through neurological diseases and neurodevelopment. During my research stint at CSIR-CCMB, I studied nucleosome positioning in adult corticospinal neurons, and I was extremely fascinated by how dynamic the chromatin is, especially in the case of regeneration. In the future I hope to work along these lines, and ultimately develop therapies against neurological dysfunction.
