Guidelines for chairs, presenters and discussants
Keep time: each session that consists of 3 papers runs for 1 hr 45 minutes, meaning about 20 minutes presentation per paper, 5 minutes for each discussant in total and 10 minutes discussion per paper. Total: 1 hr 45 minutes.
Guidelines for discussants:
The aim is not to give a complete discussion of the paper (there is no
time for this) but to pick up a few key points that are possibly problematic or at least worth discussing further. The role of the discussant is to start the discussion, so a very short discussion, for example raising 1 or 2 key problems or questions, would be ideal. There is definitely no need to summarize the paper, as one would do with written comment; so please refrain from that and just immediately come to the point. Note that you only have a few minutes.
Guidelines for chairs:
Please keep time during the session, keep the order of the presentation as printed, ensure the discussants are brief and to the point, and organize the discussion.
