SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

From my point of view the neuron operates in such a fascinating and puzzling way. Neurons function not only in a quite efficient and specialized manner but also depending on very special requirements. My main research interest lies in the intrinsic mechanisms that neurons have developed to regulate physiological processes, such as survival, differentiation, neurite outgrowth and death. My main goal is to increase my experience in all main topics of brain research, both in theory and laboratory techniques.
