You will gain up-to-date knowledge about the structure, sustainable use and protection of forest ecosystems, taking various environmental factors and human influences into account, such as climate change.

STUDY STRUCTURE

The bachelor's degree in Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology qualifies you for a professional commitment to forest and nature or for a master's degree. In addition to the compulsory courses, the course can be individually designed with elective courses such as excursions, foreign languages or courses from other faculties.
Excursions and exercises that take place directly in the forest bring variety and practical relevance to the course. Lectures in small groups enable an intensive exchange with professors and fellow students. A 3-month internship in the 5th semester rounds off the course.
The standard period of study is six semesters. The bachelor's examination consists of course-related subject examinations, a bachelor's thesis and an internship.
