SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in exploring the molecular mechanism of ribosomal biogenesis and RNA-protein interactions involved in a variety of cellular processes and disease conditions. I am fascinated by the way these ribonucleoprotein complexes regulate gene expression and transport, which is yet to be discovered to a great extent. Through the Molecular Biology program, I would like to broaden my understanding of this and also explore new areas.
