OUTPUT OF DifferInt

Besides appearing in a window, results are printed to the following files (for prefix "xxx"):

  • xxx.summary.txt

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS AND ALL PERMUTATIONS

DIFFERENTIATION at levels of genetic integration GenePool, MnSLGeno, and MultGeno

    and

COVARIATION OF DIFFERENTIATION between levels of integration

    > Observed values of the measures

    • Complementary genic differentiation "Delta_SD"
    • Dispersive genic differentiation "Delta-bar"
    • Complementary genotypic differentiation "delta_SD"
    • Dispersive genotypic differentiation "delta-bar"
    • Mean pairwise genetic distance "Delta"
    • Mean pairwise genetic distance "d_0"

    > Permutation analysis: Minimum, Confidence Interval, Maximum, P-Value

    • Effect of gene-pools and genic association on differentiation: Permutation of alleles among the individuals within populations
    • Effect of gene-pools on differentiation: Permutation of individuals among populations

  • xxx.alleles.txt, xxx.singlgeno.txt, and xxx.multigeno.txt

More detailed output for the each of the three levels of integration

    > Frequency distributions of the genetic types in the populations

    > Matrices of elementary genic differences between genetic types

    > Optimal shift matrices of the distance measure "Delta" for all comparisons between two populations and between each population and its complement population at all levels of genetic integration

  • xxx.excluded.txt

List of (multilocus) genotypes that are excluded from the analysis due to missing data

  • xxx.d0matrix.txt<\font> and xxx.Deltamatrix.txt

List of distance matrices for the different levels of genetic integration

  • xxx.delta.schnecken-nocj.fig and xxx.DeltaSD.schnecken-nocj.fig

Input files for plot software "xfig" (Linux) or "winfig" (Windows). The "fig"-files are constructed from the files "xxx.delta.schnecken-nocj.in" and "xxx.DeltaSD.schnecken-nocj.in". If the answer to "Make snail graphics" is "yes", the ".fig"-files are plotted on the screen and can be exported in various formats.
