SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

What I find particularly fascinating about the brain is how relatively simple biological mechanisms enable a wide range of complex cognitive processes and behavior. Thus, my main areas of interest within the neurosciences are the biological basis of cognition and learning. Furthermore, I am interested in (cognitive) neuropathology and neurodegenerative diseases.
