Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB University)IPB University, or the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), was founded in 1963, as a state-run agricultural university with the aim of strengthening food security, promoting bioenergy, protecting the regional environment and alleviating poverty. It is the only state university with a focus on tropical agriculture and life sciences – and is world-renowned in this field. Today, it is recognized as one of Indonesia’s “Big 5” universities and has earned a strong reputation for excellence in agriculture, life sciences, and sustainability. Based in the city of Bogor, Indonesia, it is approximately 60km from the capital city, Jakarta. There is a research centre, university farm, animal hospital, student dormitory and library. IPB is known for strong research output and sustainability initiatives. It has been repeatedly recognized for SDG impact (2022–2024) by the Time Higher Education Ranking and leads Indonesia in innovation according to the Ministry of Research. The University further boasts interdisciplinary labs, innovation hubs, university forests, and large field stations.

The University of Jambi (Universitas Jambi – UNJA) was established in 1963 as a state public university in Jambi, Sumatra, Indonesia. Originally formed through the merger of local faculties in Economics, Law, and Agriculture, it has grown into a major regional hub for higher education, offering a wide range of programs and research opportunities. Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) is a reputable university located in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Established in 1961, USK is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the province of Aceh. The university is named after the historical Syiah Kuala figure, a renowned scholar and intellectual from Aceh. It plays a central role in regional education, research, and cultural development. Hosts specialized centers such as the Tsunami Disaster Mitigation Research Center and Atsiri (essential oils) Research Center. It is equipped with 131 laboratories, an Academic Activity Center, and initiatives in sustainability and community impact. USK is engaged in academic exchanges (Erasmus+, Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle - IMT-GT), joint research, and summer/humanitarian programs. The university is further strengthened through the Office of International Affairs, Career & Entrepreneurship Centers.
