Information on studying abroad and for students from abroad

Interested in studying abroad in Europe?

The aspect of internationalisation is an important focus in the work of the Institute, furthermore, the Institute actively promotes a global perspective in research and teaching. The Institute is proud to be part of the renowned ENLIGHT network, which includes partner universities from all over Europe, such as the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, Ghent University in Belgium and the University of Tartu in Estonia. This collaboration enables students and faculty to engage in sustained academic exchange, joint research projects and international conferences that provide valuable opportunities to interact with scholars from different cultural backgrounds and different academic traditions.

Through these partnerships and connections, the Institute of Political Science offers students excellent opportunities to study abroad and to experience and contribute to different academic environments. Students can participate in Göttingen University exchange programmes and spend one or more semesters at one of the universities in the ENLIGHT network to gain lasting and diverse insights and intercultural experiences that enrich their academic journey and broaden their horizons.

In addition, the Institute attracts a diverse and inclusive community of students and scholars from around the world. English language programmes are offered, making the Institute accessible to international students seeking a quality education in political science. The faculty is committed to supporting international students in their academic pursuits and ensuring smooth integration into campus life.
