SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I believe the cell is a perplexing yet fascinating unit, whose study, at a molecular level, provides an unparalleled understanding of its origin and its possible manipulation. My main interest is the regulation of basic cell processes and cell organization, especially to shed light on how these processes originated and were modified throughout evolution. My academic goal is to increase my experience in molecular biology, both in theory and laboratory techniques, in order to research a particular aspect of the cell while analyzing the implications for the organism as a whole.
