SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in the basic processes of biology. I would like to deepen my skills to be in a position to contribute to the understanding of biochemical processes. This knowledge might lead to the development of cures for diseases. Here I am especially interested in the topic of oncology and neurological diseases. Both areas are examples for very complex systems and unknown regulatory networks, in which small changes can lead to devastating diseases affecting many people all over the world.
