Major Research Interests
The Biomedical Physics group investigates the nonlinear spatio-temporal dynamics and control of excitable biological media. We have pioneered 4D imaging to visualize the electromechanical function of the heart in health and disease, and have developed innovative algorithms for efficient electrical and optogenetic control of cardiac arrhythmias. Our translational research ranges from basic research to preclinical experiments and initial patient studies.
