Maggie Achleitner

Maggie Achleitner has been a research assistant at the Chair of Political Science/ Civic Education with Prof. Dr. Monika Oberle since 01.01.2023.

She studied Sociology at the University of Vienna (AT) from 2014 to 2018 with a focus on deviant behaviour, as well as democratisation and radicalisation in Europe. From 2018 to 2019, she studied Global Criminology at the University of Utrecht (NL), where she focused on processes of criminalisation and transnational crime. Furthermore, she was a student assistant in a qualitative research project on drug-related crime in Amsterdam, as well as a research assistant in a project on the digitalisation of migration in Europe. From 2020 to 2022, she worked as a junior lecturer in the BA Security Studies at Leiden University (NL).
At the Chair of Political Science/ Civic Education she is working in the project Fit4EU, which develops and evaluates teacher trainings for civic education about the EU in Germany and beyond.
