SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am generally interested in microbes and immunology. My particular interest includes interactions of pathogens with receptors located on cells of the innate immune system, which lead to activation of intracellular signaling cascade. Transduction of the signal and re-programming gene expression to establish antimicrobial defense is also fascinating to me, as well as research on the MAPK signaling cascade, which regulates various cellular activities and its connection with many health disorders.
