SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am fascinated by neuroplasticity, especially in the battle with neurodegenerative disorders, looking for the molecular agents that shift the balance between regeneration and cell death. In general, I enjoy the bench to bedside approach, as I am intrigued by the combination of basic research and its application to pathogenesis that plays a role in the lives of many.
