SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am particularly interested in investigating neural plasticity and its role in the development of psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and also hope to translate findings into their clinical applications. Another main goal of mine is to raise awareness about the (neuro)science of mental illness and help improve communication and education in this area in order to enhance the public’s understanding of brain disorders as physical disorders which I believe will ultimately help research and patients alike.
