Friedland transit camp – perspectives of migration

The Friedland Museum represents the overall history of the historic transit camp built for released prisoners after the Second World War and is currently housed by asylum seekers. The visitor is led on an exciting journey through time, which deals with the themes of flight, expulsion, migration and integration of more than 4 million people, for whom Friedland will remain a symbol of freedom from 1945 until today and beyond.

Hann. Münden - a worth seeing city

The picturesque half-timbered town of Hann. Münden is due to the confluence of rivers Werra and Fulda to the Weser almost completely surrounded by water. You are dearly invited on a guided boat trip to admire the idyllic river landscapes. Afterwards, you will visit the historic town hall and the “Welfenschloss“ palace, both built in the Weser-Renaissance style, as well as the 13th century St. Blaise Church and countless well-preserved half-timbered houses on a discovery tour through the medieval old town.
Behind this backdrop hides a modern downtown, where many small shops, studios and cafes are also worth a visit.

“From the grain to the bread”

The European Bread Museum in Ebergötzen presents a cultural-historical collection on the 8000-year history of agricultural grain processing and bread. The exhibition, which is divided into many subject areas, as well as the two Mills and the beautiful situated park and garden area offer much (also culinary) to discover.
