SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Although I am interested in many topics of molecular biology, immunology and pathology are especially fascinating. On the one hand, organisms have developed a variety of mechanism to defend themselves against pathogens. Many pathogens in turn are able to evade the immune system or even use the cellular machinery of their host cells. With this Master's and PhD program, I hope to learn the required techniques and knowledge to contribute to development of novel drugs.
