Goal 2 - Zero hunger

End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture

SDG 2 aims to end hunger and malnutrition. To do so, it puts agriculture and agricultural markets into focus. The income of small small-scale food producers should be raised. Secure, equitable access to production and economic resources as well as knowledge must be ensured. Moreover, the goal is to create resilient agricultural practices that are characterised by plant and animal diversity and the capacity to adopt to climate change.
To reach these goals, investments into rural development and agricultural research should be increased. Regulations of agricultural markets are to be improved. *
