SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I particularly want to focus on the molecular aspects of the immune system and pathogenic organisms, and to look for the possible strategies these pathogens employ to escape the onslaught of the immune system. The principle reason I wish to continue my research in this field is my desire to contribute towards the control of emerging and re-emerging diseases in the world particularly because of bacteria and viruses.
