The International Student Services Team offers regular events for foreign and German students who want to give their study curriculum an international profile – whether by studying abroad or taking part in a diverse range of intercultural events.

As each semester commences, we hold introductory weekend and welcoming events for international and exchange students aimed at helping students get off to a quicker start and find their way around Göttingen easier.

International Foyer
The International Foyer sees itself as a meeting place for students from all over the world offering regular language workshops, salsa courses, cooking and movie evenings, a course for creative writing as well as featured-country evenings aimed at promoting intercultural exchange.

Excursions
Every semester, foreign students can participate in a number of trips to German cities of political, cultural and historical interest as well as to other general touristic attractions. German students are also welcome to take part in the excursions (Note: Funding regulations allow only 20% of the participants to be German).
