The Master “Developmental, Neural, and Behavioral Biology” is part of integrated MSc/PhD programs within the Graduate School GAUSS. The program offered since winter semester 2009/2010. The focus of studies lies in the understanding of developmental processes, structure and function of nervous systems, systems neuroscience, or behavioral biology. The program offers a broad spectrum of topics ranging from cellular functions to the understanding of cognitive performance. The research models range from cell cultures to diverse invertebrates and vertebrates, including primates.

Major fields of study
You can take the following fileds of study , which are also certified in the diploma.

• Developmental Biolgy


• Neural Biology


• Biology of Behavior

The capacity of the modules necessary for obtaining a certificate for a field of study is limited, therefor selection of the maior fields can be confined in individual cases.


Admission Qualification

• Bachelor degree in a related field of study (6 semester)


• Proof of proficiency in English at least of C1 level (e.g. UniCert III, IELTS Band 6)


• Proof of proficiency in German at least of DSH-1 level
