From major airports by train to Göttingen

Frankfurt airport houses two train stations (Fernbahnhof: long distance trains, Regionalbahnhof: local trains). At other major airports, shuttle trains or buses will take you to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof, Hbf). The quickest way to reach Göttingen is by Intercity Express trains (ICE). Consult the website of the German Railway Company (Deutsche Bahn, DB) for schedules and ticket prizes.

From Göttingen train station to the Ernst Caspari building

To get from Göttingen train station (Hbf) to the Ernst Caspari building, take either bus number 21 (direction Nikolausberg) or 23 (direction Fassberg), departing in front of the train station (bus stop Bahnhof D, dept. weekdays every 30 min each line) and get off after approximately 14 min. at bus stop Kellnerweg. Walk in the same direction the bus takes. Where the street forks, take the road to the right. On the left, a passage between two buildings (connected by a bridge) leads to the main entrance of the Ernst Caspari building (about 2 min walk from the bus stop). Single bus ticket: 2.30 Euros, multiple bus ticket (4x): 8.30 Euros. A taxi will take you from the train station to the GZMB new building in approx. 10-15 min (12-15 Euros).

Coming to Göttingen by car

Take exit 72 (Göttingen Nord) from the Autobahn A 7 and follow road A 388 towards Göttingen. This road will turn into a street called An der Lutter. Follow the sign Universitätskliniken/Polizei (exit on the right), turn left on Robert-Koch-Str. and take the second street on the right (Hans-Adolf-Krebs-Weg, direction Gästehaus, turning into Justus-von-Liebig-Weg). After approx. 200 m, the street forks. Turn right. A passage between the two buildings on the left (connected by a bridge) leads to the main entrance of the GZMB new building. Parking space is available behind the building.
