The group of Prof. Dr. Ulf Diederichsen at the Faculty of Chemistry at the Georg-August Universität Göttingen welcomes applications for a
Ph.D. position (all genders welcome)
The position is remunerated with 50 % E 13 TV-L with a limited contract of 3 years. The earliest starting date will be 01.01.2020.
- you hold (or are in the process of concluding) a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or an equivalent degree in Pharmacy
- you are proficient in English,
- you are experienced in fields of organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, medicinal chemistry and pharmacology
- you have a solid background in organic chemistry, chemical biology and relevant biophysical methods.
Experience in organic synthesis and biochemistry is advantageous.
The successful applicant will be involved in a project performed at the Institute for Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry. The project aims at the synthesis and evaluation of peptide/protein analogs functioning at or within lipid bilayer membranes.
We will provide a stimulating research environment in a diverse and interdisciplinary team as well as first-class facilities. The Ph.D. students are integrated in the graduate program of the Georg-August University School of Science (GAUSS).
