Project B06 -
Real time investigation of light harvesting processes in redox switching oligonuclear charge transfer metal complexes

PIs: Prof. Franc Meyer, Prof. Simone Techert, Prof. Dirk Schwarzer

In this project optical excitation processes and short range charge transfer in highly preorganized oligonuclear metal complexes – in particular in square and grid-like Fe complexes – will be investigated in real time with the long-term aim of controlling the efficiencies of multimetallic systems for light harvesting and energy storage in excited spin and electronic states. Reorganisation processes will be studied, utilizing time-resolved x-ray methods at various time scales (fs to ms).
