SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in working at the intersection of structural and molecular biology, and in applying techniques from these disciplines to outstanding questions in neuroscience. Specifically, I am fascinated by ion channels and SNARE complexes that act in intercellular transport within neurons. My ultimate goal is to lead a lab that fuses knowledge of the single cell with emerging insights into cellular networks in the brain.
