SFB 1528 participates at Science goes City
Introducing Göttingen Research to the Public
May 10, 2026, City Center GöttingenScience goes City introduces the work of Göttingen researchers to the public while they go shopping! Three SFB labs contribute to this year’s event: At the Johanniskirche, Nivedita Mani and her team from the „Wortschatzinsel“ inform about their work on language acquisition, whereas Hannes Rakoczy and the „Göttinger Kindsköpfe“ present how they study the socio-cognitive development of infants. At the Gänseliesl, Susanne Bögeholz, Sebastian Löser and the science communication research team provide insight into our nonhuman primate research with the SFB Virtual Tour. Chalk Talk: Hormone und Sexualität

Lars Penke from the Institute of Psychology will talk about hormones and sexuality and will explain how he aims to tease apart the influences of hormones and personality on human mating behavior.

The Chalk talk series forces researchers to explain their work with chalk and blackboard only. The popoular science talk series is entering its seventh season and welcomes a recurring participant back to the Forum Wissen. Anne Schacht kicks off the year 2026 with a talk „Im Tal der Tränen“
