Guides for authors

Oral presentations

In order to promote the interactive character of the workshop, all oral contributions are presented live (no pre-recording). The slides are broadcast to the audience via Zoom's integrated screen sharing feature.

  • Invided presentations: ca. (30+15) min
  • Contributed papers: ca. (12+3) min

Questions may be posed by using the chat or (preferrably) by "raising the hand" and unmuting the microphone when asked to.

Poster presentations

Step 1
Posters should be prepared in pdf format (DIN A3 paper size) and uploaded to a file drop, which will be made available to all poster authors in due time. These handouts will be made available to all participants for offline viewing and browsing.

Step 2
During the poster session, every poster is presented in a separate breakout room. Based on the first offline poster screening, participants can specifically join the respective breakout room in order to start an interactive discussion with the authors. For this purpose, the authors may present their original poster via screen sharing (by zooming and paning to the region of interest) or provide a set of slides which are based on the poster. In any case, it might be useful to include section and figure labels on the original poster for better orientation.

Technical checkup

The organising committee is available for limited technical support and for individual checkup sessions before the beginning of the workshop. Please contact us if necessary.
