Old Robotron X-ray and Gamma dose meter

This is an old dosemeter fabricated by Robotron in the former German Democratic Republic.
It uses a large gas filled ionization counter.

Model 27060, Fabr. Nr. 01058 made in GDR

The dose rate of X-rays down to 6 keV energy and the doserate of Gammas up to 3MeV can be measured.
It displays the photon equivalent dose in µSv. The instrument was used in radiation protection in industry, medicine , nuclear reactor facilities as well as in research and engineering.
The dose meter comes with a black leather bag where the meter and the ionitation counter can be installed.
The dose meter is battery driven and is therefore a portable instrument
