Tanmay Karak

Dr. Tanmay Karak is a soil scientist from the Institute of Tea Research Association, Tocklai Experimental Station, Jorhat, Assam in India, an institute dedicated to research on all aspects of tea cultivation and processing. The main research interests of Dr. Karak are - chemistry of heavy metals in soils and plants, use of wastes for crop production and resolving the problem of environmental pollution. Currently he is visiting the group of Prof. Yakov Kuzyakov and working on a collaborative research project entitled “Turnover of low molecular weight organic substances in soil”. His visit is funded by North East Region Overseas Associateship, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India.
