Erasmus+ KA 107: Mobility with Partner Countries

Important regulations and the latest guidelines about the pandemic can be accessed here:

The Erasmus+ Key Action 107 cooperation is guaranteed by contracts with non-European partner universities that have to be approved by the respective National Agency for being supported through the Key Action 107. Universities that are already Erasmus+ members can apply annually in order to be approved for the programme. With each round of project proposals, old and new collaborations with organizations in the desired partner countries are assessed and either granted financial support through the EU-funded programme or not.

As Erasmus+ KA 107 is based on strategic partnerships, the mobility agreements with the international partners are confined to certain subject areas, which are already described in the project proposal. Similarly, the types of the supported exchanges (Incoming, Outgoing, Student, Staff) are determined beforehand in the project application so that Erasmus+ KA 107 represents a rather limited mobility scheme.

Supported by the relevant subject coordinators from the faculties, the International Office (Göttingen International) gives advice on the different exchange possibilities and requirements based on many years of experience of international cooperation.

The Erasmus+ Key Action 107 programme has yearly open calls.

Since the new Erasmus+ project just started, the procedure for the next open call is not finalized yet. Once we receive the updated information on the next open call for partner countries, we will publish the information here.

For general information on project funding and different exchange possibilities and requirements within this (and other) programmes, please visit our project funding website.

Since the mobilities are planned under consideration of the project strategy and their implementation has to be described within the project proposal, the mobilities are determined to certain departments and faculties.

Concerning the individual participants in the Erasmus+ KA 107 programme, the mobility with partner countries outside of Europe is restricted to university members and runs into both directions, the following mobility types can be supported:

  • Incoming mobilities of university students, lecturers and employees coming from the granted partner institution to the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
  • Outgoing mobilities of university students, lecturers and employees going from Göttingen University to a granted partner institution
  • Student mobility (Bachelor, Master, PhD) is supported for a period of 3 to 12 months, in some regions the student mobility is limited to PhDs only for outgoing mobilities
  • Staff mobility (teaching and/or training) can be supported over a period of 5 days to 60 days

More detailed information on student and staff exchanges within the KA 107 programme can be found on the respective webpages linked below.
