The meetings take place from 18:15-19:30 in the Lecture Room (Hörsaal) of the
Department of Musicology, Kurze Geismarstrasse 1, 37073 Göttingen.
You are cordially invited!

The purpose of the first four meetings will be to read and discuss some
foundational literature in the field of peace and conflict studies.
The texts to be discussed will be available in the library of the Department
of Musicology from late October 2010, or can be sent per email upon request
(please write to: mcs-info@uni-goettingen.de).

The last two meetings will be dedicated to the topic of the role of music in
torture in preparation for the workshop on music and torture we are planning
to hold in Spring 2011. Further information on the music and torture workshop
will be given in our next newsletter.
