Information on how certificates are issued (old ZQ)

Within the framework of the previous supplementary qualification a degree certificate with an appendix in the form of a " Diploma supplement" will be issued to you. For this we need exact details of the courses that you took toward the supplementary qualification. In return you will receive a form for the recognition of course certificates obtained, which can be obtained from Ms Clemens in the Department of German as a Foreign Language, room 0.102 in her office hours (Wednesdays 13-15).

On the form you need to enter all courses you took towards the supplementary qualification, including also what you did in each seminar (papers presented, protocols, etc). Once you have completed all courses required, hand in the completed form together with all course certificates, including those which have already been recognised, to Ms Clemens in office hours. She will check the certificates and sign that the form has been received and is valid. The recognition form together with all course certificates will then be passed on to Prof. Dr. Casper-Hehne for final confirmation of recognition. After all this your degree certificate will be printed and you can arrange a time with Ms Clemens to pick it up, together with your transcript of studies.

Only documents which are complete will be processed! This applies especially to missing certificates for practice classroom teaching: just handing in the protocols along with the certificates you have is not enough. Hence please hand in your protocols to Ms Clemens in advance, accompanied by a completed certificate for each course: blank certificates can be obtained from Ms Clemens or in the Secretariat. Pick up the processed certificate from Ms Clemens and add it to your other documents, which you can then submit once you have all certificates required. Any other procedure will only lead to unnecessary delays in producing the degree certificate!
