Ti:Sa Laser System

The amplified Ti:Sa Laser System (Mira & Legend Elite Duo, Coherent) provide pulsed IR laser light for the high harmonic source and the plasma source for hard X-rays (PXSCu). The amplified system produces 40 fs pulses with an energy of about 8 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 kHz. Pulse diagnostics (Spider LX, APE) and an optical parametric amplifier (TOPAS, Coherent) to generate tunable light for time-resolved optical pump / X-ray probe measurements are available.
