Karlheinz Stockhausen (1928-2007) is without a doubt one of the most important and influential composers of the twentieth century. This concert, which accompanies a seminar on Stockhausen's work which is taking place this semester in the Department of Musicology, features three works from three distinct stages of Stockhausen's career. Our guests are Trio Nexus from Berlin, featuring the pianist Frank Gutschmidt, who worked closely with Stockhausen in the final years of his life.
