Curriculum Vitae

Brief Profile:

Holger2Mr. Vogt-Altena’s expertise primarily covers the disciplines of GIS, remote sensing, forestry, environmental engineering and nature conservation. His involvement in remote sensing straddles the analysis and interpretation of data of various aerial and satellite based sensor systems such as CIR (color infrared), radar, multi- , and hyperspectral as well as lidar. In addition, he is familiar with the implementation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems (UVS) in a civil engineering and natural resources environment.

For some time he was entrusted with the responsibilities in drawing up, reviewing and implementing environmentally related management plans as well as the establishment of geographic information systems for the US Army. Furthermore, required environmental reviews were generated by him and the coordination between Host Nation and the US forces managed. In addition, he made sure that the garrisons are in full compliance with the current regulations and laws with respect to environmental goals and projects. Mr. Vogt-Altena was also in charge of the motivation, control and budgeting of environmental projects at garrison level.
