The effect of climate change on fodder legumes
Climate change is expected to increase the frequency of spring and summer droughts in Middle Europe. Plants generally react to drought by reducing biomass production. This yield reduction will be analysed on the plant organ level. As the percentage of plant organs in total biomass has a major influence on fodder quality, conclusions on quality and quality-yield relations will be drawn. Samples will be taken on a field site in Göttingen, analysed, and results interpreted in a Bsc thesis.
An extension of the topic to MSc thesis level may be possible.
