Curriculum Vitae

I was appointed as a Lecturer ("Akademische Rätin") at the Institute of Sociology at Göttingen University in October 2014. I was on maternity leave in 2015-2016. Prior to that, I had worked as a Lecturer ("Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin") at Bamberg University. While on maternity leave (2012-2014), I was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation) to conduct an interview project on notions of cosmopolitanism among students at the LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) in the UK.

I hold a PhD in Sociology for which I studied as a member of the DFG Graduate School "Markets and Social Systems in Europe" under the supervision of Richard Münch at Bamberg University (2008-2011). In 2009-2010, I was a Visiting Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University in New York. I hold a Diploma (equivalent to BA plus MA) in Languages and Cultural Studies from Passau University. I have also worked as a project officer for large-scale EU projects (FP7).
