New DAAD Guest Professorship in "International Management"

In 2014 the Faculty of Economic Sciences successfully applied for funding of a guest chair in the field of „International Management“ by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Founding this guest chair enables students and researchers of the faculty to profit from international courses taught in English and from the exchange with internationally recognised professors.
Starting in the summer term 2015, the guest chair is integrated in the Department of Business Administration. Being a part of the university‘s ambitions to internationalize itself on faculty-level, the chair‘s content will cover the domain of „International Management“ and attract renowned, international professors to the university.
Every semester two lectures (one for bachelor and one for master students), one seminar (master) and one doctoral colloquium will be held by a visiting professor. It is also possible to conduct theses at the chair. Consistent with the university‘s strategy the focus is on Asia: Every winter term a researcher from this region will be invited.

As first visiting professor Prof. Jaime Alfonso Bonache Perez from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid taught and conducted research in Goettingen during the summer term 2015. He returned in 2016 and 2017 for two more semesters. During the winter terms, Prof. Israel Drori and Prof. Yingying Zhang were responsible for the guest chair in 2015/2016, Prof. Fang Lee Cooke in 2016/2017 and Prof. Hemant Merchant in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019, Prof. Christopher J. R. Richardson in 2017/2018 and Prof. Dr. Klaus Meyer in 2018/2019. For the summer term 2018, we welcomed Prof. Carol Reade. For the current summer term in 2019, Jaime Bonache returned to Göttingen to be responsible for the professorship.
