MultiConText
Academic Writing in Multilingual Contexts
Studying - and especially writing - in multiple languages brings not only challenges but also opportunities. This is exactly where the MultiConText programme of the International Writing Lab comes in.MultiConText supports multilingual students through workshops and individual writing consultations. Our focus is on integrating your existing linguistic and academic experiences, making them usable for your current writing projects.
The MultiConText approach is grounded in multilingual writing pedagogy, see Barczaitis et al. 2022.
This means: Your diverse languages, academic backgrounds, and writing traditions are explicitly welcome. We support you in developing strategies that suit your needs and in turning your multilingualism into a valuable resource.
Multilingualism is lived in diverse ways within MultiConText: Workshops are conducted in German and/or English, and other languages can be used at any time. For assignments and consultations, different languages are also possible upon agreement. FAQs about MultiConText
