First Semester Courses

The first semester in the bachelor's degree program in Mathematical Data Science usually includes the following courses:

  • Differential and integral calculus I including lecture, exercise course, practical lecture und practical course
  • Analytic geometry and linear algebra I including lecture, exercise course, practical lecture, practical course
  • Computer science I including lecture, practical lecture, group exercise course, computer exercise
  • Programming for Data Scientists
  • Times and rooms can be found in the UniVZ (see below). Details about the allocation of the exercise groups will be given in the first lecture.


    In the UniVZ you can find all information about the offered events of the university like rooms, times, related modules and exam dates. It also has all the people at the university with their contact information.


    You will receive an access to Stud.IP with your student ID. It is used for everything organizational around courses: registering for courses, downloading course documents, messages to all participants and much more. The most important thing to do here is to register for exercise groups at the beginning of the lecture period.
