Optima and Calibri - Göttingen University’s fonts

Göttingen University’s corporate design comprises two different fonts: Optima LT Pro and Calibri. Which font is used when will be detailed below.

Optima LT Pro

Optima LT Pro is used for all externally commissioned print products. It is the University's primary typeface and includes the typefaces Roman, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic.
Optima is a licensed font and is consequently not available on all computers.

Calibri and Arial

As an alternative to Optima, the system fonts Calibri or Arial can be used for internally created materials and documents. They are the University’s secondary typefaces and are used both on our websites and on internal communications. They have been integrated into Microsoft Office well as Mac OS X and are therefore supported on almost all computers.
