Michelle Viola Raue

In 2016, Michelle began studying law at the Humboldt University in Berlin. After two years she moved to Göttingen and continued her legal training there, whilst attending foreign language courses in French and Italian. She had discovered this affinity for languages early on, which prompted her to learn English, French and Spanish and to spend a year abroad in the bilingual region New Brunswick in Canada.

The opportunity to improve her legal argumentation technique as well as to gain insight into practical training as a lawyer motivated Michelle’s decision to join the Willem C. Vis Moot Team. She expects that the competition will give her an impetus for her further studies and her later work life.

As a balance to her work and studies, Michelle enjoys jogging in the woods and ballroom dancing.
