Research Area: Organic Synthesis

Our research group is interested in the development of fast and
general routes towards three-dimensional architectures.

Towards this aim we are particularly interested in the following topics:

• The reactivity of small-ring systems: their synthesis, cleavage and modification
• The preparation of polycyclic, predominantly aliphatic hydrocarbon molecular scaffolds
• The application of this chemistry in the synthesis of natural products and functional molecules that may be of interest to medicinal chemistry and materials science.
